This deep panel is made from over ten layers of 3mm clear glass. The flower shapes and dragonflies are created from hammered copper wire and copper foil and the colours are sifted glass powders which are applied throughout the layers of the block for visual depth. Set in a gorgeous l-shaped wood mount with the bark left intact down the vertical section.
 
I have created a tenon and mortice joint between the two pieces of wood so it is good and strong and the glass is epoxy resined into a routered slot down the left-hand vertical edge for stability.
