Handmade by me in an open flame my 'paperlight' paperweights are functional collector's pieces.
This particular design is an extension of my paperweights being set in a beautiful turned wood burr by Roni Roberts 'Artistic Woodcrafts' and with the addition of a lampworked glass heron sat waiting to catch his fishy supper from the glassy paperweight pond below.
The paperweight features three 'goldfish' swimming above a half sandy, half rocky base. Lashings of clear glass generate the watery effect and amplify the details within.
