A framed kiln-fused glass panel featuring three early winter trees with leaves in transparent steel blue on a background in shades of blue with a silvery gold moon and sparkly stars set on a streaky evening sky. The panel is made from five different layers of glass and has been through up to six kiln firings at 810 degrees celsius to create the visual depth within the piece. The last firing is at a lower temperature to add finishing surface detail and texture.

The glass is approximately 15mm thick so is a substantial piece whilst the panel (including the frame) measures 24cm square and is 4cm deep allowing the piece to be sturdily freestanding.
